Chapter 14

  The moon shone through the clear glass panels that made the entirety of the back wall of the house. The light dimly illuminated a showroom filled with sports cars and in the corner a small wine room. Marlon opened the door and came out with a bottle of wine and an opener.   He closed the door behind himself as he went to a king-sized bed sandwiched between the wine room and one of the shiny sports cars. Courtney was looking down with slightly red sclera around the blue irises of her eyes. He sat down, a couple feet from her, and screwed the opener into the cork. He began to pop it out, but the cork broke in half.  "Fuck!" he swore. He pushed the cork into the bottle until it popped in and wine spurted out. "Damnit." He took a slip. “Bleh,” he coughed. "Marlon " she said, "I'm sorry, I-" "Just drink," he said, handing her the wine bottle. She took a small sip before passing it back. She couldn’t taste the cork, but she ...

Chapter 01

                 The waves of the ocean broke on the rocks under a beachfront cliff that hugged the Pacific Coast Highway. A black Lexus sedan flowed across the highway, and slowed as it approached one of several small two story houses built on the cliff over the ocean. The car parked perpendicular to the entrance of one of the garages and a man with an olive complexion came out of the driver seat, and went to the trunk. From the passengers side came out a thin young man in short blond hair, stylish denim pants and shirt, and a handsome face. He went to the trunk with the driver. Then from the other side a tall young blond woman opened the door and walked back to where the driver was pulling out luggage. The woman wore a white blouse with a knee length black skirt and black heels which were open-toed, showing her french tipped pedicure. Her clothing was elegant, and did not overemphasize the natural hourglass shape of her figure. Her fac...
